A HISTORY OF BOATS ON THE RIVER THAMES
Have you ever wondered what the River Thames would look like if you were to travel through history? With several momentous events having taken place within London, it is evident that the city lies at the core to many historical experiences, intertwining the heart of the UK to countries around the world.
It is easy to take in the breath-taking sights of the River Thames for granted. Most especially if the river is part of your everyday life. However, there is no doubting that the River Thames plays a pivotal role in the history of the UK. So, should we take more time to consider the full history of landmarks such as Tower Bridge and appreciate the life-changing impact that technology has had on London’s waterway? Most certainly.
As London’s leading River Thames Cruise, our boats are commonly recognised for their importance in demonstrating the iconic history of the city. Like many other boats and landmarks, our presence can often be overlooked as part of the blurred and busy landscape of London.
Since Bateaux London took to the River Thames in 1992, the city’s skyline has since transformed in front of our very eyes. With the constant development of the riverbank and several cruises sailing through the waters, it can be easy to overlook the small, yet significant changes.
