Bateaux London Musicians

 

We have acquired an eclectic mix of fantastic musicians and singers; all with their own unique successes and backgrounds that you can read all about. You may recognise some of them... we have singers who have been on Pop Idol, West End performers and leading jazz singers.

Bethany Compson-Bradford

Bethany is from Perth in Scotland. She made her West End debut in the hit show ‘Dreamboats and Petticoats’. She has starred in many pantomimes, most recently playing Princess Lulu in Jack and the Beanstalk! Bethany enjoys singing with other live bands and has recently completed vocals for the charity album, ‘Help the Angels’.

Amy Diamond

Many will recognise Amy from being a finalist in Andrew Lloyd Webber's BBC 1 talent search for Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz! She has already enjoyed an amazing career so far working on television and has numerous theatre production credits which have won her much acclaim. We’re delighted that she has joined our resident band at Bateaux London.

Beverley Stone

Beverley began her career accepting a singing job with one of the big cruise liners. She has gone on to perform all over the world with P&O and has appeared on British TV. Beverley has won huge acclaim with her performances at Ronnie Scotts, The Forum and The Royal Albert Hall. Her debut album ‘Butterfly’ is available to buy on ITunes or Amazon.

Suzi Jary

Suzi began her career in the West End Show 125th Street at The Sharfesury Avenue Theatre. Her career has focused heavily on the music of Dusty Springfield and she is now widely accepted as the best performer in the UK of this style of music. Suzi is an extremely versatile performer and can sing in many different styles including lounge, jazz, country, vintage and pop!

Nuala Farrelly

Nuala has enjoyed a rich and glittering career across the arts. She's sung all over the world including special performances for British Troops in Bosnia and Iraq. Nuala's completed tours of South Africa , USA and has appeared in leading roles for cruise liner P&O for a number of years. Nuala can be found performing in top London venues such as Ronnie Scotts, 100 Wardour Street, Home House and The Kasmir Club.

Atila Huseyin

‘I think he’s got a very promising future’ Sir Michael Parkinson claimed after watching a performance of Atila’s! Appearing frequently on TV, radio and with a huge amount of live appearances behind him, we are delighted to have Atila work with our resident band. He specialises in the music of The Rat Pack and particularly Frank Sinatra.

Anton Browne

Anton has recently finished working as a vocal coach for the BBC 1 show, The Voice. He is also a very respected vocal coach and holds a senior position at London’s famous Brit School of performing arts. Anton frequently performs at the best venues in London including Ronnie Scotts and the 100 club. He has a number of CDs which have been released and jazz/soul is his musical inspiration!

Georgie Fellows

Georgie trained in musical theatre at The Laine Theatre Arts Academy. She has appeared in numerous theatrical productions including the West End show ‘Whistle down the Wind'. Having sung professionally for over 15 years, she particularly loves the music from Big Band, Cabaret, Swing and Jazz!

Zoe Birkett

Millions of television viewers will recognise and remember Zoe after earning her place as the Winning Female contestant in ITV's Pop Idol 2002 hit show. Her video and song 'get happy' went straight to number one in the charts and she has enjoyed a glittering career since including playing to 250,000 fans on two national tours, featuring on Top of the Pops, Pepsi Chart Show, This Morning and many other prime time television shows. Zoe loves to sing jazz and is thrilled at being in our team of entertainers her at Bateaux London!

Kimberley Powell

Kimberley trained at Laine Theatre Arts and has performed in West End shows such as Showboat , Whistle Down the Wind and more recently, in the smash hit musical Mamma Mia! on the International Tour. She has also toured with Grease playing the role of Sandy.
She has travelled all over the world on the Queen Elizabeth Ship, as a lead singer for Cunard, as well as the 6* Seabourn Yachts.

Alison Carter

Alison's extensive career has led her to perform all over the globe, including London’s West End Musicals & Jazz clubs, European & World tours, Concerts & Cabarets including performing for the late Diana, Princess of Wales and making several Television appearances & Commercials. Her sophisticated vocal style has been influenced by many different musical genres ranging from her first love of jazz & blues to soul, pop & musical theatre - all of which are reflected in the mellow tones and diversity of her voice.

Sandra Marvin

Sandra is one of London's most accomplished vocalists having starred in leading roles in many West End shows including Chicago, Hairspray and Porgy and Bess. In the summer of 2014, she was chosen as a backing singer on Kate Bush's sold out 22 date show!

Darren Thomas

Darren Thomas is Bateaux London's Musical Director.
He fully began his career as a musician in The Royal Household where he spent 9 years performing for The Royal Family, Heads of State, Presidents and Prime Ministers in London and around the world.
Darren went on to work with a number of the world's most famous names in music, including Whitney Houston, Elton John, Tom Jones, Robbie Williams, Beyonce, Take That, One Direction, Shirley Bassey and Olly Murs.

John Hawkins

John Hawkins spent 20 years as a musician in The Band of the Royal Artillery. Since leaving the band, he has worked with many stars such as Tom Jones and both the late Whitney Houston and Sir Harry Secombe
